Two-sentence explanation: James F. Short is one of the oldest professors at WSU. His studies in sociology and about the gangs of Chicago, as well as his status as a professor emeritus make him an interesting subject to audiences.
Evidence: Professor Shors sent Kaila some information and a story about him from the Washington State University magazine. Kaila is leading the project.
Why now: He is a unique type of professor at the university and is available to meet within the next week to discuss his life and his work.

Format and Length: I am writing the text portion of this group assignment, while Kaila and Jody create a video feature. My portion should be about 700 words with a photo and be a complementary piece to the video as part of a larger package.
