Pitch 6

Two-sentence explanation: Two members of the WSU Rowing Team have taken a year off to train, with a chance to represent their countries at the Olympics. One of them, Nicole Hare, has trained for years with Rowing Canada, the national governing body of the sport in Canada.

Evidence: Working with Lize on the story, she explained the situation the rowers are in and what they are doing this year with the hopes of going to the Olympics.

Why now: Localizes the upcoming Rio Olympics with a Pullman connection, and stories about Olympians can work at virtually any time of the year.
